~ About Us ~

In 1991, our practice commenced in Ipswich, one of Queensland’s largest provincial cities.  The principal of our firm, Ian Berry, was admitted as a Solicitor in 1976.  With an emphasis on practice in litigation matters, Ian Berry practised in Brisbane City until practising law in Ipswich from 1978.

Offered a position as the first appointed Solicitor to the Commissioner for Main Roads, extensive experience was gained in contract law and claims management.  A requirement of the Solicitor to this Governmental Department was to advise the Commissioner and Departmental Officers and Engineers.

Returning to Ipswich and continuing to practice in litigation resulted in establishing this firm.

Our firm is a small provincial city practice located 35 kilometres from Brisbane providing legal service to the personnel of the Royal Australian Airforce base at Amberley, Queensland Railways, the newly established campus of the University of Queensland and citizens of Ipswich.

Our firm practices in the legal sphere of:

  • Small Business;
  • Family Law;
  • Personal Injury Litigation, Including Motor Vehicle and Employee Compensation;
  • Estate Law;

  • Estate Planning;
  • Industrial Law;
  • Debt Recovery;
